Coated VICRYL (polyglactin 910) Suture
 
VICRYL sutures are intended for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic surgery, peripheral nerve anastomosis and microsurgery for vessels less than 2 mm diameter. The safety and effectiveness of VICRYL sutures in cardiovascular tissue have not been established.
 
Material: Mostly Braided Multifilament - Dyed/Undyed / Some Monofilaments Dyed
Size Range: Braided: 8/0 through 3 / Monofilaments 10/0 to 9/0
Typical Use:
Indicated for:
- Ligation
 - Soft tissue approximation
 - General closure
 - Bowel
 - Orthopedic surgery
 - Ophthalmic surgery (Monofilaments)
 - Peripheral nerve anastomosis
 - Microsurgery for vessels >2mm diameter
 
Contraindicated for:
- Extended approximation of tissues under stress

 50% at 3 weeks (6-0 and larger)
 40% at 3 weeks (7-0 and smaller)
 25% at 4 weeks (6-0 and larger)
